Our school is fortunate to have a spacious, well resourced, state of the art library.
At Port Kembla, all students are encouraged to read as part of our Home Reading Program. The library plays an important role in ensuring all students are exposed to and have access to a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books.
Students visit the library once a week to loan and return books, as well as participate in lessons focused on literature or information skills.
The library features an interactive classroom, allowing students to participate in video conferences with any public school in NSW.
Whilst our students are lucky in many areas, they are fortunate indeed to have such a wonderful resource as our modern school library.
Kindergarten ❤️ to read just like Library Lilly!
Check out some of our new books 📚😃
'The cow tripped over the moon' by Tony Wilson was this years NSS book. Stage 1 students had fun making a catapult with a partner. They decided a catapult would be a great way to help the cow make it over the moon 😀
