Room 9 studied 'State and Federal Government' during term 2. During an art lesson the students were asked to choose an Australian Prime Minister, either past or present and sketch a caricature of them. Room 9 did an absolutely fantastic job!
The students in Room 9 have been studying the science unit 'Switched On'. This unit looks at electricity, forces and many forms of energy. On Monday 11th August the students in Room 9 conducted a science experiment. It was a hands-on investigation to explore how energy can be changed. The experiment involved balloons (and lots of them!).
By the conclusion of the lesson, the students had a thorough understanding of the different types of energy. For example, kinetic energy, potential energy, metabolic energy etc. They know that energy can change form. We would like to share some of our photographs with you and Gian Pontello's science book entry.
I would like to thank all the students who attended the Stage 3 camp to Canberra. What a great time we all had and I'm sure you have some wonderful memories.
